The Brand Awareness & Sales Marketing Support Advisor – Cargo is responsible for executing marketing activities that will drive brand awareness and support the sales team. This role is responsible for implementing marketing campaigns, coordinating projects, and ensuring the sales team has the tools and materials needed to engage prospects and customers effectively. You will work cross-functionally to bring marketing initiatives to life, supporting brand recognition efforts, contributing to content development, and assisting with programs that reach and engage target audiences.
The ideal candidate excels in a collaborative environment, is comfortable working with technical, operational, and creative subject matter and communication, and is a self-starter.
Responsibilities:
- Execute annual brand awareness and sales support marketing campaigns and projects to support the overall Air Canada Cargo business objectives.
- Brand Awareness: Assist in coordination and execution of campaigns that increase brand visibility across key channels, including social media, paid advertising, etc.
- Sales Support: Collaborate closely with the sales team to understand their needs and provide marketing collateral, presentations, content, etc. that supports their efforts.
- Support Air Canada Cargo business objectives by intaking business needs and translating them into clear marketing briefs.
- Accountable for the successful on-brief, on-time and on-budget execution of marketing projects.
- Support the planning, coordination and execution of paid media activities, including trafficking, monitoring and reporting.
- Responsible for merchandise and promotional item orders and distribution, including inventory tracking and coordination to support sales teams and marketing activities.
- Management and coordination of award submissions to drive brand awareness.
- Responsible for regular reporting of campaign results and effectiveness, providing actionable insights for improvement.
- Responsible for weekly, monthly, and quarterly project status reporting, identifying project risks and opportunities.
- Maintain brand consistency across marketing and sales materials, ensuring messaging aligns with company values and positioning.
- Project manage and execute Air Canada Cargo events and tradeshows, including logistics coordination, vendor management, internal alignment, and onsite support.
- Develop strong and collaborative relationships with cross-functional teams (Sales, Regulatory/Legal, Operations, etc.) to drive project success.
- Active monitoring of competitive landscape and market trends.
Qualifications
- University degree in Marketing, Communications, or an equivalent field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in marketing, preferably B2B in the cargo or logistics industry.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience developing B2B collateral across various mediums and for different channels.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Passion for ingenuity, creativity, and initiative.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
- Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud products (InDesign, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, etc.) is an asset.
- Experience in marketing internationally (outside of Canada) is a plus.
- Knowledge of the cargo or logistics industry is a plus.
- Demonstrate punctuality and dependability to support overall team success in a fast-paced environment.
