Role Overview
The Project Analyst will play a pivotal role in driving key initiatives within the Planning & Analytics function by applying structured project management, advanced analytics, process optimization, and continuous improvement methodologies. The role involves close collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders including Planning & Analytics, Engineering, Flight Operations, and AOC to enhance operational efficiency, optimize pilot-related costs, and elevate data-driven decision-making through automation and analytical rigor.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Aviation, or related quantitative disciplines.
5–6 years of experience in data analytics, business analysis, operations analysis, or project management (aviation domain preferred).
Hands-on experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau) and analytical environments.
Exposure to automation, process optimization, and continuous improvement frameworks (Lean, Six Sigma, or similar) is an added advantage.
Skills & Technical Competencies
Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving capabilities.
Proficiency in Excel, SQL, and Python (mandatory) for data transformation, modeling, and advanced analytics.
Experience working with project management systems such as JIRA.
Ability to interpret operational datasets and convert them into meaningful insights and business recommendations.
Strong documentation, communication, and stakeholder-engagement skills.
Working knowledge of aviation operations, crew management systems, or operational planning frameworks is a plus.
Key Responsibilities
1. Project Management & Execution
Support and manage Planning & Analytics projects ensuring on-time delivery, adherence to scope, and alignment with business objectives.
Utilize project management tools such as JIRA to track workflows, maintain sprint documentation, and report progress to leadership.
Conduct quality checks on project outcomes while proactively identifying risks, gaps, and improvement opportunities in execution.
2. Continuous Improvement & Automation
Identify and implement opportunities to automate manual processes, reduce operational turnaround time, and enhance data accuracy.
Contribute to continuous improvement programs by applying industry best practices, benchmarking, and optimization techniques.
Ensure analytical processes, reporting frameworks, and automations adhere to regulatory, compliance, and internal governance standards.
3. Data Analysis & Insight Generation
Perform in-depth analysis of flight operations and planning datasets to identify trends, variances, and improvement levers.
Develop, automate, and maintain interactive dashboards and performance reports using Power BI or Tableau to enable real-time KPI monitoring.
Collaborate with business and operational stakeholders to define data needs and deliver actionable, insight-driven reports, models, and presentations.
