About the team you are joining
The Ground Operations team leads the global development, implementation, and adoption of industry standards and best practices across safety, innovation, efficiency, sustainability, and baggage operations. Our portfolio includes key standards manuals (the IATA Airport Handling Manual, the IATA Ground Operations Manual, and the Baggage Reference Manual), the ISAGO audit program management, baggage operations, ground operations automation and digitalization, and the IATA Ground Handling Conference. You will report to the Head of Operations and Standards and you will be part of a results‑driven, dynamic, and highly skilled team, bringing together junior and senior professionals with years of operational, safety, auditing, baggage, and leadership experience.
What your day would be like
Mobility Study (Research
& Analytics)
Conduct a comprehensive study of mobility aids across the air transport ecosystem.
Map regulatory frameworks, operational challenges, and device categorizations (type, power, dimensions, handling requirements).
Develop a structured, analytics-driven categorization model to support safe, consistent, and dignified handling.
Translate findings into data supported recommendations for industry use.
Ground Ops
Standards & BI Support
Analyze ground operations incident and accident datasets (OPS Portal) and develop data-driven insights, dashboards, and presentations.
Support the integration of KPIs, trend analysis, and continuous monitoring metrics for Ground Ops products.
Contribute to the editing, review, and publication of AHM/IGOM manuals and derivative products.
Develop visual communication materials and BI dashboards to support wider industry adoption of standards.
We would love to hear from you if
• A recent (less than 1 year) degree in computer science, data science, statistics, or a related field.
• Interest in Technology and the Aviation industry;
• Solid foundations in research methods, data modelling, data quality and analytics
• Working knowledge of SQL and a good understanding of Python or R;
• Familiarity with Power BI or Tableau. Knowledge of Snowflake will be an asset;
• Comfortable communicating in written and spoken English with both technical and non-technical audiences.
