Role Introduction
Reports to: Senior Licensed Aircraft Engineer, Haneda/ Kansai/ Narita
Location / Country: Haneda, Kansai or Narita / Japan
Employment Condition: Full time / Permanent
The successful candidates will perform operational functions to enable our customers to enjoy our service in the form of exceptional safety, on-time performance and cabin experience. This role also performs operational functions under the supervision of an Aircraft Engineer ensuring delivery of a safe and exceptionally reliable travel experience that supports our brand and business.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Accountabilities
- Working on a shift basis, perform aircraft maintenance for Cathay Group aircraft and third-party customers (if applicable) under supervision of the Aircraft Engineer
- Monitor third party supplier’s performance (technical, ramp services, de-icing, refuelling etc.), follow up and rectify any operational issues in a timely manner
- Support the contingency plans and ad hoc operational requirements such as diversions, charters, ad hoc aircraft type changes, major disruption recovery, etc.
- Perform station administration and ensure station documentation / passes are up-to-date and valid as directed
- Perform servicing and maintenance for station ground equipment, vehicles and facilities
- Ensure compliance with local Occupational Health & Safety standards and regulations / guidelines
Performance and Business Process Improvement
- Attend performance reviews and discuss career development plan with the designated Direct Appraiser
- Attend station meetings as required to ensure regular engagement and effective communication
- Embrace continuous improvement culture through quality innovation, teamwork, lean processes to drive operational efficiency, productivity and commercial improvement
E&A
- Emergency and Accident and Crisis Response responsibilities as required
Requirements
- Demonstrably aptitude and understanding of aircraft maintenance operations
- Have (or be willing to receive) induction training / on the job training as required
- Must hold a valid Japanese driver’s license (MT)
- Excellent command in written and spoken Japanese and English
- Must have the legal right to live and work in Japan
Benefits
- Base salary: JPY373,020/month ~
- Fixed allowance: JPY11,000/month (Ramp allowance)
- Defined Contribution Pension Plan: Up to JPY 55,000/month
- Other allowances: the company regulations apply
- Social insurance: Unemployment insurance, Worker's compensation insurance, Health insurance, Welfare pension insurance
- Commuting expense allowance: Up to JPY50,000/month
- Break time: 1 hour/day
- Off day: Two days off every week
- Probation period: 3 months
- Annual leave: 16 days in the first year after completing probationary period (prorated based on the month of joining)
