As an
Account Manager, you will be responsible for delivering revenue targets through the execution of business plans, policy and strategy, while developing and strengthening relationships across a diverse customer portfolio. Working as part of a close‑knit team, you will manage a regional portfolio across New Zealand, aligning account strategies with broader business objectives to drive revenue growth, market share, yield improvement, and new business opportunities. This role plays a critical part in maintaining strong customer partnerships, retaining and maximising revenue, and identifying opportunities across Corporate, Government, SME and Agency segments, while ensuring alignment with the Qantas Group customer strategy.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Drive a customer‑centric sales strategy aligned to airline customer needs to deliver revenue and market share outcomes
- Build deep commercial insight through analysis of sales data, performance reporting and customer trends
- Contribute regional insight to the development and execution of the New Zealand sales plan
- Develop and execute strategic account plans aligned to Qantas Group customer strategy and regional KPIs
- Identify and deliver new business opportunities across Corporate, Government, SME and Agency segments
- Manage sales, distribution and marketing activity in line with internal strategy, trade practices and competition law
- Lead regular customer performance reviews to identify growth opportunities, risks and improvement actions
- Build and maintain strong, multi‑level stakeholder relationships with customers and internal teams
- Maintain accurate CRM records to support effective account management and relationship development
- Monitor market and competitor intelligence, recommending actions to defend and grow Qantas’ regional position
What You’ll Bring
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in account management or business development
- Strong ability to prioritise effectively in a fast‑paced, commercial environment
- Excellent presentation, communication and influencing skills
- Strong organisational and time management capabilities
- A results‑driven mindset with a proven ability to exceed targets
- Demonstrated experience engaging and managing a broad range of internal and external stakeholders
