Johnson Service Group is seeking a Maintenance Technician I for a 4-6 contract position in Sacramento/Roseville, CA.
Rate Range is $20-26 DOE
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Â Constructs and repairs a variety of structures such as walls, doors/windows, stairs, roofs, bins, partitions, and office equipment.
- Mixes and applies paints and other finishing coats to interior and exterior surfaces by means of brush, spray gun, or roller.
- Knows and follows effective safety standards, practices and techniques pertaining to general maintenance and construction work.Â
- Assists other maintenance personnel with daily activities.
- Follows safety procedures and protocols.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Must possess a valid driverâs license and current motor vehicle insurance with clean motor vehicle driving record.
Ability to interact effectively with peers and supervisors.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Â
- Must be able to demonstrate accurate basic math skills.
- Must be able to demonstrate the accurate use of a tape measure.
- Must possess a valid driverâs license and current motor vehicle insurance with clean motor vehicle driving record.
- Preferably 1-2 years of hands-on experience in a facilities/maintenance role.
- Communicate in English both written and verbally.
WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Standing, walking, lifting, bending, reaching, grasping, stooping, kneeling, climbing.
- Working with a variety of hand tools, power tools, and other related equipment.Â
- Occasionally lifts and carries objects weighing up to 50lbs.Â
- Works in non-temperature-controlled environments.
- May work from a variety of surfaces, level or unleveled, when performing job duties.
- Occasional exposure to noise, hazardous materials, and dust.
- May work extended hours or weekends.
- Employee may generate, handle, manage, or work around hazardous materials and hazardous waste.
- May be required to lift up to 50 pounds in accordance with KUAS General Safety Training guidelines
