What Will You Be Doing?
The Engineering Configuration Control Analyst will support maintaining the various configuration models within Frontier’s FMIS system which includes Receiving Inspections Shelf Life database, Engineering Manual Supplements and FMIS configuration controls. The Analyst will also ensure the proper configuration of components are properly loaded into the FMIS database.
Essential Functions
- Under limited supervision, perform research and analysis on new or updated components by utilizing the Illustrated Parts Catalogue (IPC), Airworthiness Directives (AD), Service Bulletins (SB) and other technical data to search for and effectively change components to maintain the integrity of the IPC Supplement, TRAX, and component research database.
- Work directly with Engineering and lessors to ensure comprehensive compliance and substantiation.
- Handle daily component inquiries.
- Assist aircraft maintenance departments in retrieval and analysis of aircraft information, as requested.
- Ensure proper documentation exists for the authorization of aircraft parts.
- Interpret and review drawings, technical data, Title 14 of the Code of Federal Regulations (14 CFRs), Fleet Campaign Directives (FCDs), Airworthiness Directives (ADs), engineering documents (EAs and EOs), and Service Bulletins (SBs).
- Verify that vendor SBs, engineering documents or other support documentation include necessary approvals to ensure compliance with established company standards and Title 14 of the Code of Federal Regulations requirements.
- Update and audit TRAX and IPC Supplements as required to ensure current and accurate effectivity and interchangeability information.
- Provide support to the aircraft Maintenance Department for critical Aircraft On Ground (AOG) situations.
- Coordinate and assist Maintenance, Planning, Materials, Maintenance Control, and Engineering personnel either interdepartmentally or between company departments and contractors, aircraft manufacturers, or other outside organizations to ensure appropriate scheduling, procurement, and movement of aircraft components.
- Utilize analytical, design, testing, and debugging skills to develop and maintain database for tracking and history of component research.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; minimum of Associate’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Aviation Technology or a related field required; combination of relevant education and experience considered in lieu of degree
- Valid FAA Mechanic Certificate with Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) rating may be accepted in lieu of degree, with equivalent experience
- Prior 121 airline experience strongly preferred

- This role can be based at our headquarters in Denver, CO or anywhere in the United States via a remote work arrangement (periodic travel to Denver from a Frontier-serviced city required)
- If remote, you must be able to follow our remote work policies, including ability and comfort level working from home with access to a high-speed internet connection
- If headquarters-based, typical office environment, adequately heated and cooled
- Subject to local laws, employment at Frontier is considered “at will” and a role’s designation as Fully Remote is subject to change based on the Company’s business needs as well as the employee’s performance while working Fully Remote.
