What are your main duties and responsibilities?
To ensure an efficient, complete, and correct accounting and reporting from the team regarding the legal entity.
- Oversee the month-end and year-end closing processes, including the preparation and review of financial statements.
- You will manage:
- The local accounting team.
- Intercompany invoicing.
- The Balance Sheet including reconciliations and proper documentation.
- The monthly foreign currency conversions and revaluations.
- The monthly VAT, Intra stats and yearly income tax return for the respective legal entity including the quarterly group reporting.
- all registrations with the local government for the legal entity as and when required.
- all monthly, quarterly, and yearly reporting required by National Statistics and the monthly reporting to HMRC regarding Labor Providers.
- You will maintain the Fixed Assets Register, monthly Depreciation and Construction in Progress.
- You will act as key contact for financial auditors for accounting matters concerning the legal entity.
- Ensure all documents are delivered by other departments
- Check and consolidate the reports
- Respond to audit questions in collaboration with other departments.
- You will prepare the statutory financial statements.
- You will collaborate with the Serbian Accounting and Finance team.
Who are we looking for?
- You have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Taxation.
- You have at least 5 years of progressive working experience in Accounting/Taxation.
- In-depth knowledge of Belgian accounting principles, tax regulations, and financial reporting standards.
- You are fluent in Dutch, French and English.
- Knowledge of accounting software and ERP-systems, SAP knowledge is an added value.
- Working knowledge of office (Excel advanced, Word, PowerPoint).
- You are accurate, analytical, and service minded.
