Qualifications
About the role:
The Health & Safety (OHS/HSE) Specialist leads the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the organization’s occupational health and safety management system to prevent injuries, illnesses, and incidents. This role provides expert technical guidance to leaders and frontline teams, ensures compliance with applicable legislation and standards, and drives a proactive safety culture through risk-based programs, coaching, and performance monitoring.
It’s a part-time position (half-time).
What are your responsibilities?
- Supervision and advisory support to ensure compliance with OHS (H&S) regulations and labour law in the area of occupational health and safety.
- Creating, implementing, and updating OHS procedures, instructions, and standards within the organization.
- Identifying hazards and conducting occupational risk assessments for workstations; recommending corrective and preventive actions.
- Conducting OHS inspections and audits, preparing reports, and monitoring the implementation of recommendations.
- Investigating the circumstances and root causes of workplace accidents and near-miss incidents; maintaining and archiving accident/incident documentation.
- Organizing and delivering OHS training (initial onboarding and periodic refresher training) and safety communication activities.
- Cooperating with management, HR, and administration to improve working conditions and develop technical and organizational solutions.
- Overseeing requirements for collective and personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensuring proper selection and use.
- Supervising the Health & Safety Committee and teams responsible for OHS matters.
- Participating in H&S acceptance/commissioning of workstations and equipment.
- Cooperating with external institutions and preparing the organization for inspections and audits.
- Analyzing OHS KPIs, initiating safety improvement programs, and promoting a strong safety culture.
- Ensuring compliance of OHS documentation and proper archiving of required registers and reports.

What makes you a good fit for this role?
- Higher education with a specialization in “Occupational Health and Safety” or postgraduate studies in “Occupational Health and Safety,” and at least 2 years of work experience in the OHS service, or higher education and at least 6 years of work experience in the OHS service.
- Very good knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety regulations, especially those related to office work
- Good command of English, both spoken and written (enabling fluent communication)
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Ability to deliver trainings and presentations
- Strong work organization skills, accuracy, punctuality, independence, and commitment to assigned tasks
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
