Our client is seeking a
Sr. UI Engineer who creates modern JavaScript frameworks, design systems, and AI-enabled user experiences. (Hybrid NY, 3 days onsite)
The Role
- The position focuses on building scalable, high-performance web applications using React or Vue with TypeScript, while developing reusable component libraries and design system implementations.
- The engineer is expected to create robust UI architectures, implement modern styling frameworks, and integrate advanced Generative AI capabilities into applications.
- Responsibilities include developing AI-powered interfaces such as chat systems and copilots, integrating LLM APIs (OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Claude, Gemini), and supporting RAG-based workflows.
- The role also requires strong knowledge of algorithms, performance optimization, and best coding practices, along with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally to deliver maintainable, scalable UI solutions.
Must Have
Frontend Engineering Experience:
- Modern JavaScript development: TypeScript and ES6+
- Frameworks: React / Vue with Next.js or Nuxt.js
- UI architecture: Web Components (LIT) and reusable components
- Styling: Tailwind, SCSS, Styled Components
Design System & UI Infrastructure Experience:
- Building design systems and component libraries
- Integration tools: Storybook
- Working with UI libraries: MUI, AG Grid, Highcharts, Swiper
Generative AI Integration Experience:
- Integrating LLM APIs (OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Claude, Gemini)
- Building AI-driven UX such as chat interfaces and copilots
- Implementing LangChain-based integrations
- Supporting RAG-based architectures
Engineering Excellence:
- Strong grounding in algorithms and data structures
- Performance optimization and scalable UI design
- Debugging, troubleshooting, and collaboration across teams
