Basic Qualifications
- Active Secret Clearance with a completed investigation within the last 6 years.
- Demonstrated experience managing, operating, and maintaining F-35 Pilot Training Devices.
- Experience leading a team in a field operations setting.
- Demonstrated background with problem/incident management.
- Demonstrated background with hardware / software change management.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with proven ability to work unsupervised towards program goals.
- Strong systems engineering background.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in engineering or business administration, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 12 years or more of relevant professional experience; or 10 years of relevant professional experience with a related Master’s degree. Considered an expert; authority in discipline.

The Training Support Manager (TSM) is part of the team operating the F-35 Academic Training Center at Luke AFB, AZ. The TSM reports to the Training Operations Manager (TOM) and will be designated by the TOM and have full authority and responsibility for contract compliance within his/her respective area. The TSM is responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions. Establishes milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules identifies program problems and obtains solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications. The TSM leads a team of professionals in the development of schedules to support flying operations and training. The TSM oversees schoolhouse functions to include scheduling, information technology, ALIS personnel assigned to the TSSC, engineer field support, and Training System Support Center (TSSC) personnel. The TSM will be responsible for all communication between the TSSC engineering team and the USAF customer, Joint Program Office personnel, Quality Assurance Representatives and the Level 1 TSSC based at Eglin AFB and Orlando, Florida.

- Experience with F-35 aviation simulator training operations and military training operations.
- Familiarity with F35 Training System architecture, implementation, and operations.
- Experience as a technical manager.
- Previous F-35 Academic Training Center experience.
- Experience working military flight training programs.
- Demonstrated familiarity and hands‑on experience with the 56th Fighter Wing (56 FW) is strongly desired.
