About the team you are joining
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented
Accounting Intern to join our Corporate Finance team in Montreal. This
internship offers a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in
accounting and finance within a global organization. The Corporate Finance team
offers an environment where you will be encouraged to learn, grow, and think
outside the box bringing innovative solutions to problem solving. The
successful candidate will assist with various accounting tasks and projects,
contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of our financial
operations.
What your day would be like
Support Accounts Payable across various projects and
tasks.
Post vendor invoices, customer payments, and other
financial transactions.
Assist with payment processing and account
reconciliations.
Review vendor records for accuracy and completeness.
Review weekly open invoices and PO reports and follow
up with the FSSC team in SIN.
Provide backup
support for AP and accounting functions as needed.
Contribute to process documentation, collaborate on
special projects, and process improvements.
We would love to hear from you if
-Basic understanding of accounting
principles and financial reporting.
-Communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, with internal and
external stakeholders.
-Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail and
excellent organizational skills.
-Self-starter and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
-Proficiency in Office 365 applications, particularly Excel, and
SharePoint.
-A university degree (minimum of a Bachelor's) obtained within the past
12 months in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with desire to pursue
professional accounting designation (CPA).
