The Product Owner, AI & Agentic Enablement supports the delivery, deployment, and adoption of AI and Agentic powered solutions across Air Canada Cargo. Embedded within Agile delivery teams and the Cargo Analytics group, this role serves as the primary link between business stakeholders and technical teams to identify and define AI and Agentic AI use cases and translate operational and commercial needs into delivery-ready solutions.
The role supports a portfolio of Cargo AI initiatives and the execution on the Agentic AI roadmap, ensuring solutions are delivered effectively, adopted by users, aligned with business workflows, and contribute to measurable business value. This position blends AI enablement, solution integration, change management, experience design, and business transformation to maximize the impact of Cargo’s Agentic AI roadmap.
Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary link between Cargo business stakeholders and technical delivery teams to support the development of AI and Agentic AI solutions.
- Drives the path from AI or Agent prototype to sustained production usage by coordinating requirements, UAT, rollout, and enablement across operational and commercial teams.
- Identify, define, and refine AI and Agentic AI use cases in collaboration with operational and commercial teams.
- Translate business needs into clear, delivery-ready requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Manage and maintain the day-to-day product backlog for Cargo AI initiatives, ensuring priorities are aligned with business needs and delivery capacity.
- Participate in and support all Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Work closely with Data Science, Engineering, Analytics, UX, and IT teams to support solution design, development, and iteration.
- Support the definition of AI and Agentic AI behaviors, including inputs, outputs, decision logic, and escalation paths, in collaboration with technical teams.
- Coordinate and support user acceptance testing (UAT), including validation of outputs and functionality with business stakeholders.
- Support deployment and rollout activities for AI solutions across Cargo teams and regions.
- Contribute to change management and enablement activities, including preparation of training materials, user guides, demos, and knowledge-transfer sessions.
- Act as a point of contact for user feedback, issues, and enhancement requests related to AI solutions.
- Support the definition and tracking of adoption, usage, and value realization metrics for prioritized AI and Agentic AI initiatives.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure AI and Agentic AI solutions are aligned with real operational and commercial workflows.
- Support continuous improvement by identifying enhancement opportunities based on user feedback, performance insights, and evolving business needs.
- Contribute to governance, reporting, and communication related to Cargo AI initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Engineering, Computer Science, Analytics, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
- 3–5 years of experience in a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or digital delivery role, preferably within an Agile environment.
- Proven ability to translate business needs into structured requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Solid understanding of analytics and AI concepts and their application to business and operational use cases.
- Experience supporting solution delivery activities, including user acceptance testing (UAT) and deployments.
- Experience contributing to change management, user enablement, or digital adoption initiatives.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in ambiguous and fast-paced environments.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
