The Role
Our Business Team actively create ways to help easyJet’s customers that travel for business benefit from the breadth of our Network, the density of our Schedule, the quality of our Product and the diversity of our Booking Channels. We drive additional value to the airline through maximising yields and volumes from this customer segment. We make low-cost business travel easy.
Reporting to the Head of Business Development, working alongside a Business Intelligence Analyst and Business Optimisation Manager, you will closely monitor business travel trends and help design and implement initiatives that form part of the overall business strategy. The Business Performance Manager plays a key role within our Business Team and interfaces with other departments including Trading teams, helping influence our pricing and trading strategy in order to maximise total revenue per seat and profit.
How You Will Do It
We are looking for someone that can oversee our business strategy and modelling. You will own a portfolio of business travel related projects and manage specific projects directly. Through business partnering with other functional areas you will help embed business travel in functional areas and act as a continuous link with the business team. You will be the subject matter expert across the full spectrum of business travel topics and be seen as a credible and trusted adviser to the airline management board. You will develop and nurture strong relationships across the airline and our external stakeholders as required and be able to influence and engage at board and senior management level to drive the embedding of business travel initiatives across the airline.
Your Primary Responsibilities Will Be
- Conduct specific, bespoke analysis to drive success in Trading, Network and Scheduling for business customers.
- Own and drive accountability for strategic business delivery plan, tracking progress against plan and stakeholder management.
- Closely monitor Business KPIs and share performance feedback with Country Managers and Business team, along with actionable insight.
What You Will Need To Do The Role
- Airline or business travel knowledge is desirable but not essential. Attitude is more important.
- Significant experience of strategy, commercial and finance is essential as this is a business transformation role.
- Strong leadership skills in terms of influencing up to board level, ability to manage and coordinate heavy workload. Able to engage at all levels, inspire and build engagement in our work.
- Problem solving skills are critical. Needs to be able to proactively deal with ambiguity and very complicated topics resulting in solutions/recommendations. Proactively create opportunities for easyJet to develop our business travel activities further.
- Delivery focused role. Have to be able to demonstrate ability to deliver outputs.
- Interpersonal skills are critical. This role will require a massive amount of stakeholder engagement and management. Need to be a strong communicator and someone who has credibility and gravitas.
- Numerical and analytical skills are critical with the need to have advanced Excel capability, proficient in SQL and Python would be desirable as well as the numerical skills to own, manage and enhance modelling that drives business travel actionable insight. Need to be completely trusted to create and deliver the numbers.
- Project management experience would be beneficial as time, workload and stakeholder management is important, but can be learnt on the job.
- Flexibility to work in a cross-functional, matrixes environment where multiple priorities need to be managed

Location & Hours of Work
We typically spend 60% of our time together as a team at our Luton Airport office.
