REGIONAL AVIATION MANAGER
Salary Range: $105,000 - $115,000
The Regional Aviation Manager (RAM) has duties and responsibilities in addition to those of the
traditional Base Aviation Manager (BAM). He/she is delegated Operational Control as per Ops Specs A-
006. He/she is responsible for ensuring that his/her Region is in compliance with FAA, State and local
regulations and the Med-Trans Corporation (MTC) philosophy, values, guidelines and directives outlined
in the Operations Specifications, GOM, Safety Manual, Policies and Procedures Manual, Maintenance
Operational Guidelines and Training Manual. These duties shall be performed in direct concert,
coordination and communication with the Chief Pilot and Flight Operations & Safety Leadership. All
Regional issues will be addressed in a timely, fair and professional manner as to guarantee the safe and
successful operation of the Base/Programs within the assigned region. The RAM is also responsible for
all operational procedures and operational performance of their Base/Programs within their respective
regions. The RAM will function as the central reporting point for the BAMs in a given region. The RAM
functions as a leader, manager, and professional representative of MTC and shall support and uphold the
philosophy, goals and organizational objectives of MTC at all times.
MED-TRANS REGIONAL AVIATION MANAGER must have an in depth understanding of:
· Med-Trans Safety Manual
· General Operations Manual
· Med-Trans Helicopter Operations Training Manual
· Federal Aviation Regulations
· MTC/GMR Policies
REQUIRED ACTIVITIES
· Management and Oversight of Compliance and safety-related requirements for the Base/Program within their respective region.
· Leadership skills will be utilized to assist Base Mangers’ professional development.
· Act as a liaison between the Base Managers/Pilots, Chief Pilot, Director of Operations (DO), Chief Operations Officer and other program and Senior Leaders to provide effective communication.
· Act as liaison and conduct regular meetings with the Program Managers/Directors to establish
effective communication, address issues, plus set goals and objectives for the Bases/Program.
· Conduct regular meetings (minimum bi-weekly) with the BAMs to establish effective communication, address issues, plus set goals and objectives for the Base/Program
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS
· Reports directly to the Chief Pilot.
· Direct liaison to Director of Operations regarding GOM and FAA matters.
· Direct liaison with Director of Standardization and Training.
· Direct liaison to Program Manager/Director for Base/Program specific issues and requirements.
· Direct liaison to Director of Safety/Safety Manager regarding all safety-related matters.
· Responsible to the Senior Leadership as necessary regarding Base/Program initiatives, special
projects, and requests for information.
· The RAM will also liaise with the HR Director and the Director of Maintenance for matters that directly relate to those disciplines.
REQUIREMENTS
· Must have a Commercial or ATP Pilot Certificate.
· Must meet Med-Trans’ pilot hiring minimums.
· Must have prior HEMS experience.
· Must have two years experience working for Med-Trans.
· Extensive travel required.
