JSSI is looking for a highly motivated intern to join our Tax Team this summer in our Chicago corporate headquarters.
The Tax Intern will assist the Tax Team with various aspects of tax compliance, including income and indirect tax at the federal, state, and international level. They will be exposed to the aviation industry, as well as JSSI’s unique blend of multiple service lines. This individual will gain insights working within the Tax & Accounting function of an organization and will develop valuable networks communicating with other colleagues of the JSSI team in their role.

Position Responsibilities:
- Assist the Tax Team in preparing various workbooks, schedules, and tax calculations.
- Communicate with various JSSI team members to obtain necessary information required for our tax filings.
- Assist in preparing tax account reconciliations and requested data analysis as needed.
- Coordinate with the accounts payable team to ensure tax payments are accurately submitted.
- Investigate and address queries and notices from tax authorities.
- Perform tax research on various topics impacting JSSI’s business; and
- Assist the Tax Team with other duties or special tax projects as needed.
Desired Qualifications:
- Junior year of college or higher preferred
- Studying Finance/Accounting, or related field.
- GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Ability to grasp new financial and technical concepts quickly.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be highly organized and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic and commitment to being a supportive team member.
- Desire to learn about the aviation industry.

JSSI Interns are eligible for company paid housing, including a meal plan which covers breakfast and dinner during the term of the internship. The hourly pay rate for our Internship Program is $23.00 or $24.00 if you do not require housing for the duration of your internship.
