Our client is seeking a
DevOps Engineer (6+ years) specializing in Terraform and AWS to design, automate, and maintain secure, scalable cloud infrastructure that enables faster and more reliable software delivery. (Hybrid, Toronto, 3 days/wk)
Must Have skills
- 6+ years of experience in DevOps and Cloud Engineering
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Terraform for Infrastructure as Code
- 3+ years of experience working with AWS cloud services
- Strong experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
- Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes, including EKS
- Strong Linux administration, Git, and scripting skills, particularly Bash
- Experience in Capital Markets
Nice to Have skills
- Python scripting experience
- Experience with GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus and Grafana
- Experience with ELK Stack
- Exposure to microservices architectures
- Familiarity with enterprise security and governance practices in cloud environments
Responsibilities
- Design and implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform to provision and manage AWS resources
- Build reusable Terraform modules and maintain infrastructure through version control practices
- Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and deployment workflows
- Design, manage, and optimize scalable cloud environments on AWS
- Support services and architectures involving EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, RDS, EKS/ECS, Lambda, and CloudWatch
- Ensure cloud environments are highly available, scalable, fault tolerant, and secure
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines across multiple deployment environments
- Automate and support application deployments using modern DevOps practices
- Manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes
- Support microservices-based deployments and cloud-native application development
- Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting to improve reliability, performance, and observability
