Role Introduction
Reports to: Group Safety Manager - Operational Safety
Strengthen airline safety by helping turn safety reports, investigations and risk assessments into practical follow-through. You will support the Safety Management System by processing incoming reports in the Group’s safety database, helping drive initial acceptance, follow-up and closure, and contributing to a broader programme of operational safety activity.
Working closely with the operational safety team, you will help prepare safety meetings, consolidate presentation materials, coordinate safety training and briefings, and support safety initiatives under the direction of the safety leadership team. You will also facilitate safety risk assessment processes, including Port Restart and New Port risk assessments, giving you exposure to the way safety decisions are shaped across the airline.
This is a role for someone who is curious, analytical and comfortable working independently while building relationships across different stakeholders. Your work will help keep safety visible, well-managed and continuously improving — a meaningful contribution to how Cathay moves people forward in life.
Key Responsibilities
- Process incoming safety reports in the Group’s Safety Database, including initial acceptance. Follow up and closure as directed by GSM-OS and GSM-OS&FD.
- Assist in safety meetings, including administrative duties, preparation and consolidation of presentation materials.
- Assist in promoting airline safety initiatives related to operational safety under the directive of the GSM-OS and GSM-OS&FD.
- Coordinate and carry out safety trainings and briefings.
- Facilitate and support safety risk assessments (SRA) process.
- Assist and facilitate Port Restart and New Port risk assessments.
- Support the continuous development and effective operation of the team.
- Undertake operational safety duties as directed by the GSM-OS and GSM-OS&FD.

- Knowledge of aviation operations would be advantageous.
Experience
- Minimum 2 years relevant work experiences.
- Having aviation related experience would be advantageous.
