About The Role & Team
A Lead Architect serves as a bridge between Sales, customer-facing teams, and technical departments. They provide technical support to the Sales teams in creating solutions that align with customer needs, ensuring these solutions effectively utilize available technology. Core duties include guiding the Sales teams through the solution process, completing RFP/RFI documents, translating customer needs into understandable deliverables, and identifying and addressing technical gaps in our offerings.
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Architect to join our dynamic Customer Solutions team. As a Lead Architect, you will play a crucial role in designing customized technology solutions that closely integrate with our customers' unique requirements, which may extend beyond our core product offerings. Your expertise will be instrumental in coordinating with cross-functional teams, including the SITA Enterprise Architecture Group, Product Development, Sales, and Project Delivery, to create compelling proposals that address customer challenges and set us apart in competitive situations. What You Will Do
- Work closely with the sales team to comprehensively analyze unique business challenges and requirements that extend beyond our core product offerings.
- Create innovative technical solutions that align with the customer's needs, ensuring feasibility, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Leverage your deep knowledge of our products and services, as well as industry best practices, to design cutting-edge solutions that provide a competitive advantage.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, and product development, to ensure the proposed solutions are achievable and align with the SITA’s strategic goals.
- Prepare and present comprehensive technical proposals, including solution architecture diagrams, project timelines, resource requirements, and cost estimates.
- Identify potential risks and challenges associated with proposed solutions and develop mitigation strategies to address them effectively.
- Engage with the sales and Enterprise Architecture (as applicable) to explain and justify the technical aspects of the proposed solutions, addressing any queries or concerns they may have.
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to continually enhance your expertise and provide cutting-edge solutions.
- Maintain detailed documentation of the proposed solutions, making it easy for the implementation team to execute the project successfully.
Qualifications
EXPERIENCE:
- You are an experienced professional with a strong background in customer-facing technical sales or consulting architect roles, demonstrating a track record of excellence in the pre-sales phase of work.
- You have proven experience in responding to RFPs and possess a comprehensive understanding of the RFP process, enabling you to craft compelling proposals.
- You are a seasoned solution architect, well-versed in both infrastructure and applications, with the ability to conceptualize and design holistic solutions that precisely meet customer requirements.
- Your technical expertise spans a wide range of technologies supporting custom-written software, encompassing languages like .NET and Java, and adaptable to both Cloud and On-Premise environments.
- You exhibit familiarity with cloud-based solutions, with a preference for Azure, and have the capability to craft solutions that effectively utilize cloud technologies to meet customer needs.
- You possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, allowing you to articulate complex technical concepts in a manner that resonates with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Your problem-solving skills are strong, enabling you to analyze intricate situations and provide innovative solutions that address customer challenges effectively.
