JOB SUMMARY
The Production Inspector applies acquired job skills and company policies and procedures to complete assigned tasks. They work on assignments that are semi-routine in nature but recognizes the need for occasional deviation from accepted practice.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
The Production Inspector conducts in-process inspections and/or completes the final verification of end-item products. They will complete the following job duties:
- Perform inspection of manufacturing goods during the manufacturing process
- Conducts dimensional and electrical inspection of sub-assemblies or final systems assemblies
- Measure dimensions of products to verify conformance to specifications, using measuring instruments such as rulers, calipers, gauges, or micrometers
- Interprets prints, manufacturing drawings, diagrams, wire cards and lists in approving or rejecting in-process or final assemblies
- May perform in process inspections of rework items
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- Demonstrates familiarity (typically 1-2 years of Production experience in the essential functions of the position)
Technical Skills:
- Basic computer skills, including email
- Basic ERP skills
- Basic Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to obtain J-Std and IPC certifications
- May require flight critical certification
Physical Abilities:
- May be stationary for long periods of time
- May lift up to 25 pounds
- Near Vision – The ability to see details at close range (within a few feet of the observer)

EMPLOYMENT ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
- As a US Department of Defense Contractor, Astronics is bound by International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Must be a US Person under ITAR to be eligible.
- An offer of employment is contingent on successfully passing a pre-employment background screen and drug test including screening for the use of cannabis.
Salary is $21.93 - $29.67 per hour. Mid-point is $25.80.
