Senior Manager-AO&CS (GSE Stores)
Role Overview
The Senior Manager – Stores will be responsible for end-to-end management of stores and warehouse operations, ensuring effective inventory control, timely availability of materials, compliance with organizational policies, and optimization of storage, handling, and dispatch processes. The role plays a critical part in supporting uninterrupted operations, cost control, and audit compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Stores & Warehouse Operations
- Oversee day-to-day stores operations including receipt, inspection, storage, issue, and dispatch of materials.
- Maintain accurate bin locations and material identification systems.
- Inventory Management & Control
- Ensure inventory accuracy between physical stock and system records.
- Plan and conduct physical inventory verification as per defined schedules.
- Analyze slow-moving, non-moving, obsolete, and excess inventory and drive disposal or optimization actions.
- Maintain minimum and maximum stock levels to ensure material availability without overstocking.
- System & Process Compliance
- Ensure real-time posting of GRNs, issues, returns, and transfers in ERP (e.g., SAP, GEMS)
- Establish and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all stores processes.
- Ensure compliance with audits as SOPs.
- Coordination with Cross-Functional Teams
- Work closely with Procurement, Finance and operation teams for smooth workflow.
- Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, mentor, and supervise stores officers, supervisors, and warehouse staff.
- Allocate responsibilities, monitor performance, and ensure adherence to safety and discipline.
- Identify training needs and promote best practices in materials management.
- Safety, Compliance & Housekeeping
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, material handling norms, and 5S practices.
- Enforce proper handling and storage of hazardous, high-value, and sensitive materials.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to safety, cost, and efficiency.
- Reporting & Analytics
- Prepare and share MIS reports related to inventory levels, shrinkage, aging, and stock variance.
- Track and report inventory KPIs such as inventory turnover, stock accuracy, and carrying costs.
- Provide data support for internal and external audits.
