Role Purpose
Serves as the primary liaison between business units and IT, ensuring that technology strategies and solutions effectively support operational objectives. Lead a team to deliver special projects geared towards business development.
Key Accountability
- Act as the principal point of contact between IT and business units, fostering collaborative partnerships with senior management and operational leaders to capture requirements and drive mutual understanding.
- Collaborate with business units for realization of Technology Plan and projects and drive the adoption of digital solutions and innovative technologies to streamline operations, enhance customer experience, and support long-term growth and competitiveness.
- Oversee day-to-day IT operations, including incident and problem management, ensuring technology services are reliable, efficient, and support core business functions.
- Drive the overall continuous business process improvement programme in the organization through designated Center of Excellence to achieve the expected level of efficiency by adopting the industry best-practise or the best in the industry in term of operating cost, resource productivity and efficiency, wastage control.
- Leading a team to deliver project targets and objectives, create project plans, including task, milestones adhering to deadlines. Ensuring the project progress within timeline and budgetary guardrails. Ensure stakeholder satisfaction.
Qualifications & Working Experience
- Degree in Business IT, IT or any relevant field with 15 years of experience in Information Technology and 4 years in Aviation.
Skills & Knowledge
- Business Analyst or System Development Life Cycle
- Financial and Investment Analyst (Business Case Development)
- Programme Management (of multiple concurrent dependant projects)
- Process improvement methodology such as Six Sigma
Key Challenges
- To keep abreast with the latest available technology for adoption by the business through a structured change management programme to sustain business competitiveness.
- Number of processes and variations across the overall airline business with limited number of resources to provide a full advisory support.
- To keep the business relevant in the eyes of other partners to derive the best value proposition from the service providers in term of financial and value added services offering at optimal cost to the Group.
