General Summary:
Astronics Test Systems is looking for an E/M Assembler Specialist to join our team. This position will perform varied semi-skilled assembly tasks necessary to produce a quality product.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assemble electro-mechanical assemblies, with emphasis on wiring
- Soldering, crimping, routing of wires
- Soldering of components on assemblies.
- Ability to read drawings, wiring lists and bills of materials.
- Follows verbal and written instructions
Qualifications:

Education/Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or senior level, self-starter with over ten (10) years’ experience must be in a manufacturing environment, specifically in wiring, harnesses and cable assemblies. Overtime is required, as needed. Other responsibilities as deemed necessary by supervisor to support the manufacturing requirements of the organization.
Language Ability:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as work instructions, blueprints, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees of organization.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Supervision experience is helpful, but not required.

While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles.
