ResponsibilitiesThe Catering Manager is responsible for overseeing the planning, execution and performance of Spirit Airlines' onboard catering and provisioning program across the network. The role will play a transformational role in re-developing the department and taking a strong data-driven approach to the optimization of product selection, schedule, and profit generation. They will develop the strategy and procedures to measure the program and ensure compliance with safety / regulatory requirements.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to support the company initiatives.
- Manage inventory strategies, catering schedules, and pack-out specifications to optimize aircraft space and minimize waste.
- Manage day-to-day catering and provisioning operations across multiple stations within the network.
- Ensure accurate and timely aircraft provisioning in accordance with flight schedules, service standards, and galley configurations.
- Monitor catering performance metrics including on-time delivery, provisioning accuracy, and service reliability.
- Oversee performance of third-party catering vendors across the network.
- Conduct regular vendor reviews to ensure compliance with service level agreements and operational standards.
- Ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements including FAA, TSA, and food safety standards.
- Conduct audits of catering facilities and provisioning procedures to ensure operational compliance and quality control.
- Analyze operational data, crew feedback, and catering deficiency reports to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and improve onboard product availability
- Design and deploy a data structure that will improve the speed and accuracy of decision making
- Implement a reporting and tracking system to allow for real time tracking of the programs overall health.
Qualifications- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Business, Finance, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- 4-6 years of experience in Airline operations, ancillary revenue, retail, analytics.
- Proven experience managing revenue‑generating programs and vendor relationships.
- Strong analytical skills with experience interpreting sales data and financial performance.
- Demonstrated ability to work cross‑functionally in a fast‑paced, regulated environment.

- Proven ability to leverage tools such as: PowerBI, Databricks, Excel, PowerPoint, to drive decision making.
- Experience with Python, SQL, DAX, M, and data modeling.
- Excellent communication skills and experience with presenting to executive level stakeholders.
- Moderate Activity Lifting Requirements: Occasionally lift up to 25 lbs, including office supplies or lightweight equipment. Pushing/Pulling: Occasional pushing/pulling of carts or moderately weighted items. Standing/Sitting Requirements: Primarily seated work with regular standing, walking, or movement throughout the shift. Bending/Kneeling/Reaching: Regular reaching and occasional bending or kneeling as required for task completion. Coordination: Moderate manual coordination for handling equipment, tools, or materials. Vision/Auditory Requirements: Clear vision for reading screens, labels, or small details; clear hearing for standard communication. Environmental Conditions: Indoor work environment with occasional exposure to various climate-controlled and non-climate-controlled areas. Safety Equipment: Must be able to utilize PPE and other equipment as required (e.g., gloves, safety glasses).
