Shift: Standard business hours are 6:30 AM – 5 PM, Monday–Thursday, with occasional overtime or weekend work during critical project deadlines or testing phases
Position Summary
We’re looking for a highly capable, hands-on Quality Inspector to own inspection activities for flight-critical actuation hardware. This is a mid-level role for someone who can work independently, make sound judgments, and help build scalable quality processes in a fast-moving environment. You’ll play a key role in ensuring our hardware meets AS9100 standards and airworthiness requirements, while partnering closely with engineering and production to keep things moving.
Key Responsibilities
Inspection & Product Verification
Perform in-process, and final inspections with minimal oversight
Inspect precision components and assemblies used in hydraulic and electromechanical actuation systems
Verify dimensions, fits, and GD&T using standard tools and CMM (as needed)
Evaluate critical features like alignment, stroke, surface finish, and interfaces
Support functional checks and test verification for actuator performance
Quality Execution
Review material certs, traceability, and build records
Ensure compliance with AS9100, AS9102 (FAI), and customer requirements
Document results clearly in digital systems (ERP/MES)
Help prepare and execute First Article Inspections
Problem Solving
Identify and document nonconformances with clear detail
Work with engineering/manufacturing on root cause and corrective actions
Use good judgment to help drive timely disposition and resolution
Team & Build-Out
Act as a resource for junior inspectors and technicians (Pending level entry or seasoned)
Help improve inspection methods, checklists, and workflows
Contribute to building a practical, scalable quality system
Qualifications
3-5+ years in aerospace or high-precision manufacturing inspection
Strong ability to read drawings and GD&T (ASME Y14.5)
Proficient with precision measurement tools; CMM experience preferred
Experience with complex assemblies and tight tolerances
Familiarity with actuation systems (hydraulic/electromechanical) is a strong plus
Working knowledge of AS9100 and FAI (AS9102)
Preferred
ASQ CQI or similar certification
Exposure to NDT or special processes
Experience in early-stage or low-volume production environments
Technical Competencies
Knowledge of quality principles, methodologies, and continuous improvement practices.

Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and support quality-related recommendations.
Experience with documentation control, audits, inspections, or compliance processes.
Proficiency with standard business software and role-relevant quality or reporting tools.

Physical Requirements
Ability to walk manufacturing floors, access equipment areas, and wear required PPE.
Occasional lifting of safety or monitoring equipment.
Security Requirements
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
Work may be conducted in ITAR-regulated or classified environments.
