Role Introduction
Reports to: Portfolio Solution Manager - Cathay Subsidiary Services
You will be part of the Information Technology Department (IMT), seated within the Cathay Subsidiary Services (CSS) unit, the centralised support function providing subject matter expertise to our subsidiaries, including Cathay Dining, Cathay Cargo Terminal, HAS by Cathay, and Vogue Laundry.
You will work closely with business stakeholders, internal IT teams and external vendors to deliver effective digital solutions. You will be responsible for analysing business needs and shaping end‑to‑end solutions by translating requirements into clear functional and technical specifications that support business outcomes.
You will gain exposure to complex enterprise systems, lead solution analysis for medium to large initiatives, and further develop your solution design, stakeholder management and technical leadership skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead requirements analysis and evaluate solution options across functional, technical, integration, data, security and operational dimensions
- Drive solution design and confirm feasibility, cost and delivery constraints
- Translate business requirements into clear, complete and testable functional and technical specifications with full traceability
- Facilitate solution walkthroughs and secure alignment on specifications, assumptions, dependencies and impacts
- Contribute to technical design including interfaces, data, controls and non‑functional requirements and guide implementation activities
- Provide hands‑on development or implementation support when required and offer technical guidance to Solution Specialists and vendors
- Deliver Level 2 and Level 3 application support including root‑cause analysis, remediation and user communication
- Manage and review vendor deliverables, ensuring quality, risk and issue management throughout delivery
- Ensure solutions comply with internal standards and are operationally ready for deployment
- Own delivery of complex initiatives including planning, stakeholder coordination and regular status reporting
Requirements
- Minimum of 6 years of IT experience with at least 3 years in application development and support, including leading solution analysis for medium to complex initiatives
- Tertiary qualifications are essential
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills with the ability to build trusted relationships across business, IT and vendors
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving and decision‑making skills with proven troubleshooting capability
- Agile delivery experience is an advantage
- Good understanding of technology concepts, trends and capabilities
- Strong verbal, written and presentation skills
- Candidates with less experience may be considered for the Solution Specialist role
