JSG is recruiting a Laboratory Technician, a pivotal role dedicated to ensuring the quality and reliability of advanced materials and electronic components. This is a contract assignment with our client in Durham NC. You'll work in a dynamic environment, utilizing cutting-edge equipment to perform precise testing, data analysis, and reporting that directly impacts product excellence and safety.
Pay $24/hour
Required Skills:
- Associates degree or technical certification in Electronics or related fields
- Experience with lab-based equipment such as RF test gear, Vector Network analyzers, optical microscopes, and mechanical testing tools
- Fundamental understanding of electronic theory and material testing processes
- Attention to detail and accuracy in measurements and documentation
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to follow detailed SOPs and instructions
- Team-oriented mindset and ability to work collaboratively
Nice to Have Skills:
- Familiarity with controlled impedance measurements and thermal conductivity testing
- Light manufacturing experience
- Previous experience with data logging and report creation
Preferred Education and Experience:
- An associates or technical certification in Electronics or a related technical field
- Prior hands-on experience in a laboratory or quality control environment
Other Requirements:
- Ability to carry out multi-step testing procedures
- Willingness to maintain and troubleshoot electronic and process analytical equipment
- Flexibility with work hours (Monday through Friday, 8-hour shifts, with some flexibility)
