How You'll Help Us Keep Climbing (Overview & Key Responsibilities)
Pilot Selection interviewers support Flight Operations goal of hiring talented and qualified candidates for a pilot position. Interviewers will work in teams to interview and assess if a candidate meets Delta’s rigorous standards for employment.
Commitment
- Expect to spend 3 - 8 days per month conducting interviews. In some cases, these may be short notice assignments
- All interviews are conducted in ATL at the General Offices
- This role works on an "as needed" basis, this is a part-time position
What You Need To Succeed (Minimum Qualifications)
- Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data.
- Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.
- Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.
- Current or previous Delta Pilot
- Embracing diverse people, thinking and styles
- Effective Communicator
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Able to work well in a team environment
- No outside conflicts of interest
- Able to maintain strict confidentiality as it relates to the pilot hiring process
What Will Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications)
- Broad understanding of the aviation industry and the different paths to becoming a pilot
- Previous experience in a leadership role inside or outside of Delta (e.g. Chief Pilot, Assistant Chief, Duty Pilot, LCP, Instructor, etc.)
- Able to commit to the position for 1-2 years conducting interviews
