JSG s recruiting a Laboratory Technician to play a vital role in a dynamic analytical laboratory located in Parlin, NJ. In this position, you will support manufacturing excellence by performing routine and advanced testing of raw materials and products, ensuring compliance with stringent quality standards, and contributing to cutting-edge research and development initiatives.
Pay $44/hour
Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or related field
- Proven wet chemistry skills and safe laboratory practices
- Hands-on experience with HPLC, GC, FTIR, UV-Vis, XRF, DSC, and other analytical instruments
- Strong computer proficiency, including spreadsheets, data analysis, and experience with software such as Microsoft Office and MatLab (preferred)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for reporting and collaboration
- Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues and develop new test methods
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple projects
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience with laboratory test method writing and calibration procedures
- Familiarity with AI tools like Copilot
- Past experience using laser scanners and other specialized equipment
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry with relevant laboratory experience
- Prior experience working in quality control or R&D labs, especially in regulated environments
Other Requirements:
- Ability to work weekends, some holidays, and overtime as needed
- Willingness to operate multiple instruments concurrently and adapt to changing priorities
- Strong commitment to safety, environmental responsibility, and professional ethics
