Technical Crew Member / CAT A Certifying Staff – Malta

Rotation: 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off

The Opportunity This is a unique hybrid role combining operational flying support with hands-on engineering responsibility within a HEMS environment.
As a Technical Crew Member (TCM) and CAT A Certifying Engineer, you’ll play a key role both on the ground and in the air — supporting mission readiness, assisting medical crews, and carrying out line maintenance with certifying authority.
Key Responsibilities
Operational (TCM): - Support the Pilot in Command with flight preparation and aircraft readiness
- Assist medical teams with patient handling and equipment
- Act as a safety presence during ground and flight operations
- Fly on missions providing operational support
- Maintain base standards across facilities and equipment
Engineering (CAT A): - Perform and certify line maintenance tasks within CAT A approval
- Issue Certificates of Release to Service (CRS) for work carried out
- Troubleshoot and rectify minor defects
- Ensure compliance with Part-66, Part-145, and company procedures
- Maintain accurate technical records and handovers
Requirements
- EASA Part-66 CAT A Licence
- Experience in helicopter line maintenance
- Strong understanding of safety and compliance in operational environments
- Ability to work in a high-responsibility, mission-critical setting
- Team-oriented with a proactive mindset
