The Test Lab Technician I, under limited supervision, performs a variety of tasks in the System Test Lab (Rack Room). This individual shall be responsible for providing troubleshooting and repair support in the test lab, for the creation and update of engineering drawings, the assembly of test fixtures and other lab equipment, and assisting in the day to day support operations of the Rack Room.

Core Responsibilities
- Interpret, create, and update engineering drawings for cables and system layouts
- Create wiring harnesses/assemblies from engineering drawings
- Assemble and maintain new test racks and mini racks
- Load software and configuration onto test racks and mini racks
- Troubleshoot test rack and mini rack issues including physical connections, miswiring, software load issues and software configuration issues
- Assist in maintaining an accurate inventory of lab hardware and assets
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Core Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 0-3 years of experience as an engineering lab technician, assemble/repair line tech or related professional experience
- Capable of building cables and other electromechanical assemblies
- Broad knowledge of electronic and electromechanical components
- Knowledgeable in the use of lab instruments (multimeter, etc.)
- Basic knowledge of software operating systems, such as Windows and Linux is desirable

The starting pay range for this position is $25 - $30 per hour however, the base pay offered may vary depending on the level of the position, skills, experience, job-related knowledge, and location.
