Role/ Designation: Manager - FRMS

Brief About The Role
The Manager – FRMS is responsible for the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the airline’s Fatigue Risk Management Program in alignment with regulatory and ICAO standards. The role ensures proactive identification, assessment, and mitigation of fatigue-related risks through data-driven insights, cross-functional collaboration, and governance processes.
Qualifications & Experience
- Relevant experience in Flight Operations, Crew Planning, Safety, or FRMS-related roles
- Prior experience in fatigue risk analysis, rostering, or operational control preferred
- Familiarity with fatigue modelling tools and crew management systems (e.g., AIMS, Jeppesen) is desirable
Skill set
- Strong understanding of FRMS principles, DGCA CAR (Section 7, Series J, Part III), and ICAO FRMS framework
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret large datasets and derive actionable insights
- Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional coordination skills
- High attention to detail with a structured and process-driven approach
- Effective communication and presentation skills
Job responsibility
- Oversee implementation and ongoing operation of the FRMS framework across Flight Operations, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and internal safety standards.
- Maintain and continuously update FRMS documentation, policies, procedures, and checklists.
- Review fatigue reports and fatigue-related leaves, maintaining records and analysing trends, contributing factors, and operational patterns
- Identify recurring fatigue risks and recommend targeted mitigations to improve roster design and operational practices.
- Monitor routes, pairings, and seasonal schedules for fatigue trends and crew discretion events.
- Participate in FSAG, including preparation, documentation, and tracking of actions.
- Support integration and optimisation of fatigue modelling tools
- Drive continuous improvement by translating fatigue insights into actionable changes in rostering, policies, and training.
- Collaborate with Crew Planning, Crew Control, and Roster Review teams to embed fatigue considerations into roster design and day-of-operations decisions.
- Review monthly pairings and rosters from an FRMS perspective and recommend improvements.
- Support monitoring of FDTL compliance, fatigue-related exceedances, and associated reporting.
- Ensure alignment of FRMS outputs with operational KPIs such as roster quality, stability, and crew experience.
- Generate and present periodic reports on fatigue trends, risks, and mitigation effectiveness for the organisation and regulator.
- Provide inputs for regulatory submissions, audits, and inspections.
- Act as the focal point for FRMS-related coordination with internal stakeholders and regulators, ensuring timely dissemination and implementation of insights.
