About the team you are joining
Reporting to the Head Technical Fuel, you will be part
of a dynamic multinational and multi-disciplined team. We have a common aim to
improve ground and flight safety. This will involve close coordination with the
industry, ensuring fuel quality and operational safety, including with our
member airlines, Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM), Fuel Suppliers,
Standard Bodies, Regulators and Subject Matter Experts (SEM) from IATA
Strategic Partners. As we move to new energy sources, we will be working
closely with the IATA Environment & Sustainability Division to ensure that
there are Standards and Equipment in place which are fit for purpose and are aligned with IATA
strategic goals on sustainability.
What your day would be like
Work closely with the Head of Technical
Fuel on the following.
Technical Fuel Group (TFG):
- Day-to-day liaison with our member airlines, OEMs, Standard Bodies (ASTM, JIG, A4A), Regulators (FAA, EASA, etc.), Fuel Suppliers, Into-Plane Agents and Technical Fuel Strategic Partners, ensuring fit for purpose fuel and equipment
- Your organizational and planning skills will be put into practice as you prepare and organize meetings and reports related to TFG
- Assist Head of Technical Fuel in the technical support and administration of the IATA Fuel Quality Pool (IFQP). Planning and operational activities related to the Technical Fuel stream of the bi-annual IATA Aviation Energy Forum including but not limited to:
- Developing relevant agenda leading up to the event
- Coordinating with speakers and moderators and requests for bios, photographs and presentations, arranging session conference calls
- Preparing slide decks for projection, supporting material for audio-visual services provider, as well as notes for speakers and moderators
- Monitoring and tracking activities related to the Energy Forum
- Supporting speakers and moderators, ensuring the audio-visual services provider has all the material necessary for smooth running of technical sessions
- Being present on-site at the event
IATA Technical Fuel Documentation and
Guidance Material:
- Ensuring that publications are relevant and up to date with the latest information for IATA Member Airlines and the industry
- Setting up meetings of Subject Matter Expert Panels for the review and update of the publications
- Coordinating meetings and collating the inputs on working documents
- Reviewing and proof reading of publications
You will be the Administrator of the IATA Global Fuel Portal:
- Responsible for the day-to-day management and continuous improvement

to help with other tasks in the team that will stretch your imagination and
broaden your horizons.
We would love to hear from you if
A degree in engineering, mathematics, physics or related field.
At least 3 years of relevant work experience.
Ability to work successfully with a diversity of stakeholders, inside and outside of the organization.
Excellent command of English, any other languages would be an asset.
Travel Required: 10%
