Job Summary
Reporting to the Lounge Manager, the DM is responsible for overseeing the operation of the Executive Lounge.
Your activities
- Previous experience in a supervisory or management role overseeing staff and daily operations.
- Supervise daily Back of House lounge operations, including kitchen, food preparation, inventory, and cleanliness standards
- Lead and support BOH staff to ensure efficient workflow and high service quality
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health regulations
- Monitor food preparation, stocking levels, and product quality to maintain lounge standards
- Coordinate with Front of House teams to ensure smooth overall lounge operations
- Assist with scheduling, training, coaching, and performance management of team members
- Handle operational issues, supplier deliveries, and equipment concerns as needed
- Maintain a safe, organized, and professional working environment
- Support operational targets related to quality, productivity, and customer satisfaction
- Ensure that all operations are run in line with budgets and financial KPIs, and that the lounge complies with all audits and has perfect scores
- Coach and train staff members, maintain performance management records while working, following the applicable collective bargaining agreement
- Ensure compliance with Transport Canada, airline customers, and the company rules and regulations. Liaise with airline customers and airport authorities
Your profile
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience working in a Back of House (BOH) kitchen environment, including food preparation and basic cooking tasks
- Experience preparing ingredients, assembling food items, and following standard recipes and portioning guidelines
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards (e.g., proper handling, storage, and cleanliness practices)
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen or production environment
- Experience in maintaining the cleanliness of workstations, equipment, and prep areas
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a kitchen team to ensure timely food service delivery
- Previous experience in a supervisory or management role overseeing staff and daily operations.
- A proven leader with problem-solving and people management skills
- High sense of responsibility and attention to detail. Planning and organizing skills
- Excellent communication skills in written and spoken French and English
- Commitment to continuous improvement
- Eligible to work in Canada with an open, valid work permit.
- Flexible to work on various shifts (days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays)
