We are seeking a high-energy, results-driven UAS Production Supervisor to step onto our manufacturing floor and lead a talented team of up to 35 technicians across composite, mechanical, electrical, and propulsion assembly operations.
Reporting directly to the Head of Manufacturing, you will be the driving force behind our daily operational success. You will balance a culture of uncompromising safety and quality (AS9100/OSHA) with the strategic workflow coordination needed to hit critical delivery milestones. The Airbus Helicopters Flexrotor Program offers one of the most sophisticated small tactical unmanned aerial systems (STUAS) with vertical take-off and landing (VTOL). It can be used day or night by US and allied forces for a diverse range of intelligence, surveillance, target acquisition and reconnaissance (ISTAR) on land and at sea.

Your Challenges:
Production Management & Shop Supervision: (55%)
Supervise technicians and production employees across composite, mechanical, electrical, propulsion and final assembly operations.
Ensure employees have proper tools, materials, data, documentation, and work instructions.
Ensure employees are compliant to AS9100, OSHA, 5S and other company and regulatory requirements.
Monitor production hours and ensure adherence to time charging / cost policy.
Delegate work to Leads and technicians as required.
Coordinate and organize tasks / workflow /staffing to meet schedule goals and milestones.
Provide aircraft status as required.
Perform other supervisory and management functions as required.
Training, Coaching & Employee Development (15%)
Train and mentor technicians in proper procedures.
Maintain skill matrices and training plans.
Conduct ongoing performance management tasks.
Monitor employee performance and implement improvement plans or deliver corrective actions as required.
Process Improvement, Problem Solving and Quality Management (15%)
Identify and implement improvements using Lean methods.
Perform time studies and related work assessments to improve production efficiency
Use problem solving methods to resolve production, quality and related issues.
Support audits and corrective actions.
Actively participate in Quality related activities (e.g. quality gates, MRB, RCCA)
Work Preparation, Documentation & Configuration Control (15%)
Interrogate and understand engineering data and work orders.
Work in an ERP environment including parts requirements and timecards.
Ensure configuration status, quality conformance and documentation are maintained.
Update ERP records and task lists.
Utilize Standard Work
Your Boarding Pass (Required)
High School Diploma or equivalent
Minimum five (5) years of aviation or production experience
Minimum three (3) years of leadership experience
ERP/MRP Knowledge
Microsoft Office / Google Workspace
Preferred Education/Skills:
AA, AS or BA/BS in Aerospace Management, Industrial Engineering, or applicable major
Ten (10) + years of aviation experience
Five (5) + years of leadership experience
Airframe and Power Plant License
Lean Six Sigma Certification or equivalent experience
Detailed Aerospace and/or Military Standard Knowledge

Onsite: 90-100%
Vision: able to see and read computer screens and other electronic equipment with screens, able to read documents, reports and engineering drawings. Several times daily.
Hearing: able to participate in conversations in person and via teleconference or phone and to hear sounds on the production floor including safety warnings or alarms. Several times daily.
Speaking: able to speak in conversations and meetings, deliver information and participate in communications. Daily.
Equipment Operation (personal computer, telephone, copies, fax machine, and related office equipment and using electronic identification card to enter building floors and internal doors): able to operate most office and personal electronic equipment and some tools including production tools such as hydraulic lifts. Several times daily.
Carrying: able to carry documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 30lbs/14kgs. Daily.
Lifting: able to lift documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 30lbs/14kgs. Daily.
Pushing / Pulling: able to push and pull small office furniture and some equipment and tools. Daily.
Sitting: able to sit for long periods of time in meetings, working on the computer. Daily.
Squatting / Kneeling: able to squat or kneel to retrieve or replace items stored on low shelving.
Standing: able to stand for discussions in offices or on the production floor. Daily
Travel: able to travel independently and at short notice. Infrequently. 1-3 times a year.
Walking (include routine walking such as to a shared printer to retrieve documents): able to walk through office and production areas including uneven surfaces. Daily.
Personal Protective Equipment required: Required PPE includes, but is not limited to, Safety Shoes, Safety Glasses, Hearing Protection, Respirators/Masks, and/or Protective Gloves as required by site and/or customer site
Administrative position only PPE required: Steel-toed shoes are required for all shop floor visits, appropriate hearing/eye protection may also be required when visiting the shop floor.
Annual salaryrange based on the required profile: $89K - $142kActual minimum and maximum may vary based on geographic differential. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.
