Position Summary
Responsible for leading manufacturing support services, which include: Advance Manufacturing/Documentation, Test Engineering, Production Technologists, Process Manufacturing Engineering, Equipment and Facilities Maintenance, and Production Training.
Responsibilities
• Ensures safe working conditions within manufacturing.
• Establishes and maintains premier customer service. Lead by example.
• Drives Advance Manufacturing for new product introduction (DFM, DFT), including new process introduction/qualification and labour standards for processes.
• Follow APQP processes (PPAP, FMEA, CP)
• Accountable for overall process performance; YOY efficiency, quality, capacity and capability improvements
• Lead and support Zero Defect & Lean Manufacturing programs, as well as Kaizen activities in Value Streams. (5S, TPM, VSM, SPC)
• Identification of strategic capital equipment based on current and future business needs and product development plans
• Manages manufacturing support within budget constraints.
• Provides leadership by promoting team concepts, coaching, counseling, retaining, mentoring, training, talent management, and individual development. Drives a culture of accountability and results through strategy deployment and effective performance management.
• Ensures that the facility conforms to local, provincial, and federal government regulations.
• Facilitates delivery of manufacturing training
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business discipline
• Five to Ten years related experience in a high-volume/high-mix manufacturing environment
• Excellent knowledge of management and electronics industry practices, PCBA products and technology capabilities
• Knowledge of business and operational processes
• Demonstrated ability to lead people and obtain results through others, typically acquired through ten or more years of increasing experience and responsibility including prior leadership role
• Demonstrated ability to organize and manage multiple priorities using effective problem solving / resolution skills and a team focus
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to effectively and persuasively present information to top management, and employees
