Position Summary
Primarily on Midnight shift, maintain production and facilities equipment in optimal condition; to restrict unplanned down time to a minimum and in a safe condition.
Support all production shifts through shift work and/or on call as required. Training on day shift.
Responsibilities
Production Support (daily)
• Requires shift work and/or on-call as required
• Troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facilities equipment.
• Support production with machine programming changes as required.
• Perform Preventative Maintenance on equipment, maintain PM procedures.
• Maintain and arrange service contracts, warranties, and emergency service from vendors.
• Set up and calibrate equipment as required.
• Initiate purchase order for parts and machines and maintain spare parts inventory.
• Install machinery and equipment, such as robots, dispensers or programmable controllers.
Qualifications
• Diploma in Mechanical or Instrumentation Technology (or equivalent experience)
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and well developed listening skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills; must be able to work effectively in a team environment and with minimal supervision
• Must be self-motivated and able to independently research pertinent information
• Excellent problem-solving capabilities
• Experience with Microsoft Office products.
• Experience with Surface Mount Technology equipment, PLCs and pumps would be an asset.
