Description
Responsible for ensuring an efficient and compliant Maintenance Planning operation to include the planning/scheduling of aircraft maintenance checks, inspections and tasks defined by the FAA approved aircraft maintenance program(s).
Job Functions
- Promotes and fosters a safe and secure operating environment.
- Serves as a liaison between maintenance line operations, the FAA, SOC and other AWA departments to ensure the coordination of scheduled maintenance and scheduled aircraft maintenance planning are accomplished.
- Accountable for coordinating scheduled tasks, workload and tracking in compliance with the approved FAA Maintenance Program and integrity of scheduled maintenance activities.
- Communicates changes in the Maintenance Planning schedule to SOC if/when they directly affect daily flight operations.
- Ensures all departmental and Company policies and procedures for completion of assigned duties are compliant with FAA, OSHA and EPA regulations.
- Accounts for assigned budgetary responsibilities and prepares monthly budget variance reports.
- Provides a variety of reports related to scheduled maintenance requirements to senior leadership and executive leadership.
- Responsible for tasks defined by the FAA approved aircraft maintenance program(s) includes Airworthiness Directives, Engineering Orders, Deferred Maintenance Items, Minimum Equipment List and Configuration Deviation List items, and call-back items.
- Coach, mentor, and lead team as required to ensure top tier performance.

Required
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree required or equivalency of 3-5 years of Aircraft Maintenance Planning experience.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite, Internet courseware and development tools.
- Two to three years of supervisor experience.
- Good working knowledge of aircraft maintenance program development and application.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to perform detailed work with numerical data and make arithmetic computations rapidly and accurately.
Preferred
- Bachelor’s Degree in Aviation Maintenance/Management or Engineering or 3-5 years’ experience in a FAR 121 Air Carrier environment with emphasis on planning control functions.
