Key Duties & Responsibilities
The Lockheed Martin Space Next Generation Interceptor (NGI) team is seeking an
Entry Level Manufacturing Engineer to be part of a team in
Courtland, AL producing missile defense technology that could forever change our ability to deter and respond to adversity!
The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams to support production operations.
The role will require strong communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
In this exciting role you will be responsible for, but not limited to:
- Work with Manufacturing Engineering tools such as CREO, Windchill, SAP and more and technologies such as SIMIO to optimize production processes and improve efficiency
- Support the setup of production lines and assembly equipment, ensuring that all systems are functioning correctly and safely
- Create and maintain Manufacturing Work Instructions and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure that all production processes are well-documented and followed consistently
- Develop, edit, and maintain Manufacturing Bills of Materials (BOMs) to ensure that all components and materials are accurately tracked and managed
Desired Skills
- Experience with MDA or missile defense programs
- Experience presenting to Senior internal and external stakeholders
- Familiarity with Lockheed Martin Space or industry equivalent processes
- Familiarity with Lockheed Martin Space or industry equivalent tools (ERP/SAP, EPDM, VECAMS, Apriso, Windchill, SIMIO, PMP Database, etc)
- Basic tooling, fixture, and equipment design experience
