About the Role
Reporting to the Central Team in Air Arabia, the Crew Planning Supervisor is responsible for managing the crew planning team and overseeing the preparation, generation, and publication of monthly crew pairings, rosters, and training plans for a multi-hub airline operation. The role ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, company policies, and operational needs while driving team performance and continuous process improvement.
Responsibilities
- Crew Planning & Scheduling
- Lead and supervise the preparation, development, and publication of legal, equitable, and cost-efficient monthly crew rosters.
- Approve and oversee monthly, seasonal, and annual crew pairings based on flight schedules and operational requirements.
- Ensure incorporation of all required trainings, renewals, validations, and qualifications.
- Analyze data for crew planning activities, including seasonal/ad-hoc flight schedules and training requirements.
- Coordinate with departments for logistical arrangements including hotel accommodation, transportation, seat blocking, and visa/APIS/APP requirements.
- Manpower & Leave Planning
- Approve and oversee annual and ad-hoc manpower requirements for flight crew, cabin crew, and training resources.
- Supervise annual leave bidding and planning, ensuring fair distribution and clearing of leave backlogs.
- Reporting & Compliance
- Maintain up-to-date records of crew licenses, certificates, and qualifications.
- Review, validate, and approve reports including crew KPIs, payroll items, per diem, office duty rosters, and training reports.
- Lead internal and external audits and ensure timely resolution of findings.
- System Improvement & Support
- Provide planning guidance and support to Crew Control.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
- Supervise the crew profile updates and feeding accurate information to the system.
- Other Duties
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the Airline Central Teams (Crew Planning, Flight Operations & Cabin Crew).

- Ensures people management responsibilities are handled effectively in line with company procedures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Management, Mathematics, Aviation Management, Transportation Management, or a related field.
- 6–8 years of experience in Airline Crew Planning.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a supervisory or team leadership role.
- Proven people management and team development skills.
Required Skills
- Expert knowledge of crew management systems and productivity tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Knowledge of IATA principles and security standards is an advantage.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced airline environment.
