THE WORK
The Materials Support Team Member is responsible for supporting end-to-end flow of materials within a fast-paced manufacturing environment by performing activities across multiple functional areas including Stores, Receiving, Distribution, Inventory Control, and Shipping. This role ensures the timely and accurate movement, storage, and tracking of materials to support production schedules, customer commitments, and operational objectives. Responsibilities include driving problem receipts to closure thru SAP/P2P analysis and research, supporting material replenishment strategies, analyzing material flow processes, and identifying opportunities for cost reduction/efficiency improvements. The Materials Support Team Member may also facilitate and participate in cross-functional meetings with Production, Sourcing/Supply Chain, Planning, Quality, and Program Management teams to review key performance metrics, discuss continuous improvement initiatives, address material shortages or day-to-day disruptions, and develop action plans to achieve long-term materials management goals. Success in this position requires strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, along with the ability to work collaboratively across departments to ensure operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
