About the team you are joining
Airlines’ commercial approach is being reshaped by new
technologies, new customer expectations etc. Customers now search and book
flights using multiple channels, such as airline websites, travel agencies, and
increasingly with the use of agentic AI. The IATA Distribution team’s main goal
is to help airlines and other industry players transition towards a modern,
retailing-driven approach, leveraging industry standards. This is
achieved through engagement with the value chain, ie airlines, IT providers, travel
agencies etc.
In parallel, the team explores emerging technologies and
innovative solutions to shape the future of airline distribution. A key focus
area is the application of Agentic AI, enabling intelligent, autonomous systems
that can optimize distribution processes, enhance decision-making, and create
new value propositions for the industry.
We are looking for a motivated and curious university graduate to join us for an internship, contributing to the
exploration, prototyping, and evaluation of Agentic AI use cases in airline
distribution, while also supporting broader innovation initiatives.
What your day would be like
- Build mock-ups to illustrate
these new Agentic AI workflows
- Support with technical
documentation, reporting and project management
- Contribute to technology watch and benchmarking on
Agentic AI tools, platforms, and best practices
- Document findings and present results through clear
storytelling, demos, and visualizations
- Support the wider team as needed
We would love to hear from you if
- University Degree in Computer Science or a related area
(within one year of graduation)
- Ability to work efficiently with an international team.
- Agile, flexible, and able to adapt quickly to evolving
priorities
- An interest for the airline industry
- Excellent oral and written English, other languages
would be a plus.
