Our client is seeking an
intermediate Digital Workplace Analyst to support business analysis, quality assurance, documentation, testing, and delivery of digital workplace initiatives across Microsoft 365 and security platforms. (Hybrid, Calgary, 3 days in office)
Must Have skills
- 3+ years of combined Business Analysis and Quality Assurance experience in an IT or digital workplace environment.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 platforms, including Intune, Entra ID, Windows, Office, and Outlook.
- Experience documenting business requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, test plans, and QA deliverables.
- Hands-on experience using Azure DevOps and validation frameworks to manage testing, defects, and delivery activities.
- Strong understanding of standard QA principles, including test planning, test case execution, UAT, regression testing, integration testing, and defect tracking.
- Strong stakeholder communication skills with experience working across business users, product owners, technical teams, leadership, and cross-functional groups.
- Ability to conduct research and impact analysis on platform changes, feature updates, and new digital workplace capabilities.
- Understanding of change management principles and end-user adoption practices.
Nice to Have skills
- Familiarity with Microsoft security and compliance tools such as Defender XDR, Purview, and Sentinel.
- Experience with Veeam Cloud or enterprise backup solutions.
- Exposure to governance, compliance, or records management frameworks.
- CBAP, CCBA, ISTQB, or similar Business Analysis or Quality Assurance certification.
- Experience in enterprise digital workplace or collaboration environments.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate requirements gathering sessions with business and technical stakeholders for product and project-related initiatives.
- Document and maintain business requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and process flows for digital workplace initiatives.
- Act as a liaison between business users, product owners, product managers, technical teams, and leadership to clarify requirements and manage expectations.
- Conduct research and impact analysis on Microsoft 365, security platform changes, feature updates, and new capabilities.
- Identify gaps, risks, and dependencies early and collaborate with project teams to define appropriate solutions.
- Support product managers in tracking platform roadmaps, assessing upcoming changes, and preparing the organization to reduce operational and compliance risk.
- Support change readiness assessments and contribute to end-user communication and adoption activities.
- Contribute to corporate communications, governance documentation, compliance reviews, and operational runbooks as required.
- Work with technical teams and stakeholders to understand features, expected outcomes, and end-user impacts.
- Develop and execute test plans and test cases for platform changes, policy updates, and feature rollouts.
- Coordinate user acceptance testing, regression testing, and integration testing activities.
- Identify, log, track, and support resolution of defects using tools such as Azure DevOps.
- Provide QA status updates, findings, risks, and recommendations to the project team.
