Role Introduction
Reports to: Portfolio Solution Manager
You will join the Information Technology Department (IMT), supporting enterprise-wide HRMS transformation initiatives across Cathay Pacific and its subsidiaries.
You will play a key part in delivering project management services that drive business and technology outcomes aligned with strategic objectives. You will also gain exposure to large-scale transformation programmes, stakeholder management at senior levels, and cross-functional collaboration across regional business units.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive, plan and direct all project activities for the HRMS transformation programme to ensure delivery within timeframe, scope and budget parameters
- Analyse project proposals and plans, defining timelines, funding requirements, sourcing strategies, dependencies and delivery approaches
- Manage system integrators and vendors, ensuring accountability for quality, milestones and contractual commitments
- Engage and align diverse stakeholders across Cathay, subsidiaries and regional business units to achieve programme objectives
- Represent the programme at governance forums and Project Steering Committees (PSC), clearly presenting status, risks and recommendations
- Lead cross-team collaboration to deliver business and technology solutions that support strategic goals
- Lead and motivate project teams throughout the full project lifecycle
- Communicate and escalate risks and issues, supporting mitigation planning and execution
- Ensure adherence to project management standards and best practices in collaboration with IT Practice teams
- Organise and prioritise workload with strong attention to detail
- Coach and mentor team members and subcontractors, driving accountability and performance
Requirements
- Degree holder in Information Technology, Business or related area
- Minimum 10 years of IT experience with at least 5 years in project management role
- Project management related certification such as PMP
- Proven experience in managing OPEX Cost/Budget management
- Knowledge of HR operations and IT service delivery functions required to sustain and continuously improve the HRMS platform and its end-user experienc
- Proven experience in managing projects with ability to multitask and manage multiple small to medium projects in a cross-functional environment
- Detailed knowledge of the following disciplines: project and program delivery, portfolio management, application development management, infrastructure development management, vendor management, service transition and cutover planning
- Technical proficiency in hardware and system software, as well as experience implementing packages and working with vendors
