Role Introduction
Join Cathay as a Head of Business Intelligence and Integration Competency Centre (BICC), you will be responsible for Cathay Airline Group’s business Intelligence, GenAI / AI, and analytics capabilities, integrating information timely to identify insights, facilitate business decisions and drive actions. As well as working with business to integrate the solutions into their business operational process.

Key Responsibilities
- Drive Business Engagement & Value Realization – Partner with business units to understand needs, identify priorities, and maximize value from integrated data, analytics, and digital solutions.
- Lead Enterprise Digital Transformation – Define and execute data, integration, analytics, and technology strategies that support Cathay Pacific’s digital transformation objectives.
- Develop Strategic Technology Architecture – Establish enterprise architecture, integration patterns, and reusable technology standards to enable future growth and operational efficiency.
- Champion Data Governance & Cybersecurity – Drive data quality, governance, protection, security compliance, and governance awareness across the organization.
- Own Data & Application Strategy – Oversee data and application ownership, promote data-driven innovation, and improve enterprise-wide data accessibility and utilization.
- Deliver End-to-End Solutions – Accountable for solution design, implementation, delivery, support, and ensuring alignment with business requirements, technology standards, and policies.
- Manage Portfolio & Resource Optimization – Develop and execute strategies across multiple projects, effectively utilizing internal teams, offshore resources, vendors, and partners.
- Provide Technology & Industry Leadership – Monitor emerging technologies and industry trends, applying innovative and cost-effective solutions to business challenges.
- Build High-Performing Teams – Lead, coach, develop, and retain talent while fostering an agile, innovative, collaborative culture and succession planning.
- Oversee Vendor, Financial & Operational Performance – Manage strategic vendor partnerships, ensure cost-effective service delivery, maintain budget accountability, and support business case and financial planning processes.
Requirements
- A minimum of 12 years of IT experience with at least 2 years in the analytics and integration domain; and at least 6 years in managerial role.
- A degree in computer science, mathematics, operations, management, or a related field is required.
- Proven experience in managing a large team of technology professionals (that include in-house, external, off-shore resources) to run strategic IT projects and support IT systems.
- Strong understanding and experience of integration tools and technologies.
- Strong understanding in analytics with a comprehensive understanding of BI concepts and best practices. Experience in Cloud solutions, Big Data is preferred.
- Ability to listen and articulate ideas verbally and in written formats to a broad range of audiences; ability to ask probing questions and deliver presentations.
- Strong interpersonal skills; promoting healthy relationships and team dynamics.
- Well-developed analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, leveraging both logic and creativity; strong troubleshooting skills; ability to identify patterns and generate ideas.
- Focus on the end user’s or customer’s needs; ability to set expectations and understand end user behaviour.
- Good understanding of technology concepts, trends and capabilities.
