Work Location 8082 Space Commerce Way, FL - Rocket Park (Rocket City), LOCATION-3-309 Merritt Island, FL 32953 This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Facilities, and Security. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities. As part of a small, passionate, and accomplished team of experts, you will push the boundaries of what's possible in project management, supporting Blue Origin's Engineering, Project Controls, Integrated Construction, and Construction Center of Excellence teams. You will make substantive contributions to the team's impact on all aspects of building our infrastructure and world-class facilities. The Project Manager III manages construction projects for Blue Origin, including planning, execution, and completion, while maintaining budgets, schedules, and quality standards. This role requires strong communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders. This role operates with moderate guidance from senior project management staff on complex or high-risk decisions. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Planning, management direction, project completion, client satisfaction, and financial outcome of assigned construction projects Providing field oversight and assistance, and creating a customized schedule Supporting the negotiation of contracts with General Contractors and subcontractors Development and management of all project documentation Review compliance with state and government regulations and ensure project or site location follows all guidelines Managing multiple projects while being innovative and creative in challenging situations Interface with Construction Project Managers and Resident Engineers on all facets of assigned projects to ensure project satisfaction Responsible for meeting construction management budget and recommending subsequent budget revisions where necessary Supporting the development of short and long term schedule, phasing, and sequencing strategies Implements Safety, Quality, and Ethical Standards in accordance with official Company policies Reinforces the compliance of field safety regulations by all field personnel Performs site visits and monitors progress of construction activities on a regular basis, and holds regular status meetings with all sub-teams Ensure construction activities move according to pre-determined schedule(s) Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, required documentation, and presentations; analyze results, and troubleshoot problem areas Working with assigned Superintendents to proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plan Skills: Reviews and processes invoices and supports the billing process Represent the Company in project meetings, client meetings, etc. Build and grow business relationships vital to the success of the project Maintains strict adherence to Company policies and procedures Initiating, planning, completing, monitoring, and closing construction projects throughout their lifecycles, to include: Developing project plans, budgets, and schedules Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders Eliciting and documenting stakeholder requirements Identifying project dependencies, risks, and schedule impacts Reporting project progress (status, risks, opportunities, roadblocks, and KPIs) Assisting in contract negotiations Monitoring contractor progress via frequent site visits Reviewing and approving invoices and payment applications Evaluating and processing change requests and change orders Assisting in resolution of payment or performance disputes Solve daily project issues Values and incorporates contributions of people from diverse backgrounds Winning attitude that motivates people, and a results orientation Other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications: 5+ years of On-Site Project Management, Project Coordination, Facilities Management, or equivalent experience Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Project, Visio) Ability to walk around construction sites, climb multiple flights of stairs, work in adverse weather conditions, and stand for prolonged periods Experience with Project Management Tools such as MS Project, P6 Primavera, PMWeb, Smartsheet, or similar Skills for hands-on problem solving, with a passion for spacecraft systems Comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment Self-starter, strong bias for action Attention to detail and high level of accuracy Passion for Blue Origin's mission: Millions of people living and working in space!
