Position Summary
This role is responsible for supporting the financial management of aircraft maintenance, inventory, and technical cost activities. The role ensures the integrity of financial and asset-related data, timely processing of transactions, and reliable reporting to support business operations and decision-making. Working within established policies and procedures, the Executive supports inventory management, maintenance cost monitoring, reconciliations, compliance requirements, and continuous improvement initiatives in collaboration with various departments across Malaysia Aviation Group (MAG).
Key Accountability
- Manage and maintain financial, inventory, asset, and engineering master data within AMOS, ensuring high data integrity to support accurate billing, maintenance operations, and supply chain activities.
- Prepare and process recurring journal entries, intercompany transactions, cross-departmental recharges, prepayments, and other accounting adjustments in a timely and accurate manner.
- Extract, review, and analyse maintenance invoices, inventory transactions, and supporting documentation to support technical cost monitoring and inventory analysis.
- Generate and prepare monthly operational and financial reports, including aircraft and engine utilisation and inventory reports.
- Perform monthly account reconciliations, variance analysis, and clearing account reviews to ensure completeness and accuracy of financial records.
- Support internal and external audit, tax, and compliance requirements by preparing reconciliations, supporting schedules, invoice records, and other required documentation.
- Coordinate with Engineering Systems Support, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Finance Business Partner teams to resolve data discrepancies and ensure timely and accurate processing of transactions.
- Support process improvement initiatives, reporting automation, inventory management, technical cost control, maintenance provisioning activities, and ad hoc assignments as required.
Qualification
- Diploma/Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field
- Minimum 1 to 3 years of experience in finance, accounting, inventory management, or aviation technical cost-related roles. Fresh graduates with strong analytical skills and relevant internship exposure may also be considered.
