As an
Aviation Safety Training Instructor, you will be responsible for the delivery of Emergency Procedures, Dangerous Goods, Human Factors, Aviation Medical and Security Training courses to ensure our crews are ready. You will also deliver both theoretical instruction and practical training, examinations and assessments to Qantas Aircrew, Qantas Group and external customers aircrew ensuring all CASA and IATA requirements and company standards are met.
To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate the following skills & experience:
- Previously held a CASA 20.11 Instrument / CASA Part 121 Instrument of Approval under the Qantas Group or have operated under another Australian based operator (highly desirable)
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and/or experience in adult learning principles
- Hold current First Aid Certificate or equivalent
- Hold a current Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate
- Willingness to work as part of a team and ability to work independently
- Awareness of how to manage busy workloads within time limitations
- Some adaptability and flexibility with respect to the work roster for shift-work and travel (domestic/international) to engage in training courses
- Consider yourself a fit and capable swimmer, swim 50 meters and tread water for 3 minutes (there are pool/wet drills as part of the emergency equipment training)
