Johnson Service Group is looking for a Public Information Representative for one of our clients in San Jose. This person will support educational programming and community engagement initiatives. Responsibilities: Present educational programs, lessons, tours, and assemblies in classroom, outdoor, and virtual settings. Prepare, organize, and maintain educational materials and program resources. Assist with administrative and operational functions within the Office of Civic Engagement. Support the development of educational curriculum, newsletters, and outreach materials. Collaborate with schools, educators, and community partners to coordinate educational programming. Represent the organization professionally while engaging students, educators, and community members. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in Education, Public Relations, Communications, or a related field. One (1) year of experience in education, community outreach, public relations, or related activities. Valid California Driver's License and satisfactory driving record may be required if driving is an essential function of the position. Positions in a school setting require successful completion of a TB test and criminal background check prior to employment. Experience working with K-12 students is highly preferred. Experience collaborating with teachers, school administrators, and other educational professionals is a plus. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present information clearly to diverse audiences. Strong public speaking and presentation skills, with the ability to engage youth in interactive learning. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace.
