How You'll Help Us Keep Climbing (Overview & Key Responsibilities)
The Digital Transformation team is seeking a highly motivated and talented team member to join the Delta Cargo team to manage technology applications across the organization. The selected candidate will be responsible for building the vision and roadmap for applications within their portfolio. The candidate will manage applications through backlog prioritization/grooming, defining requirements, writing user stories and production releases leveraging a cross-functional team of business and IT experts.
Summary Of Responsibilities (not Comprehensive Of All Tasks)
- Build and manage a roadmap for key commercial applications, ensuring alignment with the overall cargo strategy across distribution channels
- Act as the primary liaison between the business and IT by:
- Creating/managing backlog prioritization for each application to execute the roadmap in partnership with the business and IT
- Lead backlog grooming, sprint planning, and release management
- Writing user stories of prioritized backlog items in partnership with the business and IT
- Coordinating production releases, including project management and change management when applicable
- Measuring the return on investment / impact of each development
- Provide support and translate business issues into clear requirements, user stories, and prioritized roadmaps
- Ad hoc project management of strategic initiatives to support cargo strategy
- Development of executive materials covering project management updates, critical project paths, assessment of primary and secondary impacts to Delta Cargo for system delivery and key recommendations to drive success
What You Need To Succeed (Minimum Qualifications)
- Ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience managing and executing multiple priorities in a time sensitive environment with minimal supervision
- Experience with customer facing distribution channels
- Effective communication skills with the ability to influence technical and non-technical teams
- Must have ability to work with diverse groups and perspectives
- Must possess the ability to quickly and accurately acquire a working knowledge of business processes, systems and related data needs
- Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data.
- Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles.
- Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.
- Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree
- Strong analytical skills and experience using data to inform decisions and measure impact
- Experience with Agile project management / system development methodology
- Previous experience in logistics
